Matia grew up playing club soccer, with LFC North Oakland being her home club. She competed in the National League before going on to play college soccer, further developing her passion for the game.
After two years, Matia transferred and graduated at the top of her class from Michigan State University with a degree in Advertising and was awarded the Board of Trustees Scholarship in 2024.
Since 2021, Matia has been coaching with LFC North Oakland, where she finds great joy in fostering teamwork and building close-knit relationships with players and staff. Her favorite aspect of coaching is the strong sense of camaraderie that develops through collaboration and mutual respect on and off the field.
